Happy Easter Around the World

Spring!  Flowers!  Life!  New and renewed - what a wonderful season!

Ron & I drove to Baskett Bird Refuge today - as we always do on Easter and Christmas.  Today we saw a most amazing site - and of course I had no camera.

We spotted a pair of Canada Geese swimming in the lake with little yellow fluffs all around them!  Looking closer with my binoculars I counted 17 babies!  YES!  17!  They swam to a little island and all climbed onto land together and then I could see that at least half of the babies were much more mature - the other half were I would guess only half as old.  So Ron & I speculated what happened??  Did they adopt an abandoned nest and then raise their own young with the older siblings?  Is it possible for one goose to lay and hatch 17 eggs?  Don't know the answer to all these questions, but if you do - leave your comment.

As we traveled amoung the hundreds of geese both on the ground and flying in formation over our heads we both agreed that there is no more beautiful cathedral or place of peace and spirit than with the Sacred Mother Earth and her grand displays.

Wishing you the presense of peace and love which = the absence of fear!
Enjoy the beauty.  Love to all.
